My work deals with the concept of the home in relation to the world around it, where the seperation of these two ideas happen and why. When family is seen as an ideology rather than a birthright what happens to the other side of that metaphorical wall? Is the home the factory of life and does it make the world around us or does the world around us make the home, are they not the same thing?
Life being art, I merely move some of it around to say some thing about it. In my work I combine construction materials with domestic, in order to build walls that tear themselves down. I think every facet of how we live is through the barriers we create in our mind and that process is imprinted on us at the homefront. Have we walled ourselves in or have we walled ourselves out.
